SKUs, barcodes and labels for Shopify stores in Canada

Bilingual English and French labels print with every accent, and Market prices let a label show your Canadian price and currency.

Barcodes from your GS1 Canada prefix

If you sell through retailers or marketplaces, get a company prefix from GS1 Canada. Enter it once in SGT and the app builds a valid code with the correct check digit for every variant, skips numbers already used in your store, and shows how many codes your prefix has left. For barcodes only used in your own shop and stockroom, internal codes or Code 128 work without a prefix.

Labels that fit your paper

Choose your exact printer and label size, or enter a custom size with your own margins and gaps. SGT prints a PDF at actual size and lets you nudge the print by a millimetre if your printer feeds slightly off.

Prices in Canadian dollars

Labels can show the price and compare-at price with or without the currency symbol, before or after the number, with a decimal comma if you prefer, and with your own text. Add text such as "plus tax" if you want to make it clear that sales tax is extra. If you sell in several countries, a label can show the price for one of your Shopify Markets.

Set up in a few minutes

  1. Install SGT from the Shopify App Store.
  2. Generate SKUs and barcodes for your products, or import the codes you already have.
  3. Pick your paper, check the preview with a real product, test print one label, then print.

Step by step: add barcodes, UPC vs EAN vs GTIN, print labels.
